🏠 5 Tweet Sunday 🏠 I’ve been thinking a lot about learning/education recently. In the 19th century French professor Joseph Jacotot was sent to Belgium to teach the local students French. One issue. Jacotot didn’t speak Dutch, and the students didn’t speak French. They had no common language. He left the students with a bilingual edition of a French book. He told the students to relate the French they didn’t know to the Dutch they did. A few months later he checked in on them. They had obtained fluency in French. Reps are important.
