I just got back from New Orleans with some friends. First night we pull up to the Airbnb, and the Uber driver says, “I wouldn’t walk around here”. The next night we get LSU bball fined $100k for storming the court. Sorry LSU. I have one main takeaway from the trip. If you’re deciding between LSU or Tulane for college, go to Tulane. When it comes to the average student’s attractiveness (men & women), LSU is like Walmart, and Tulane is like Whole Foods. LSU does have a real life Tiger on campus though, which is pretty sweet.
In other news, I got rejected from a small PE company I’ve been interviewing with. The rejection was oddly relieving in a lot of ways. I don’t have to move to Ohio. And I can schedule a month long trip to Buenos Aires to “find myself”.

I’ve met a few people my age that live in San Tan Valley, and had some coworkers that lived in Buckeye. I don’t really understand why people want to live in these places. Buckeye isn’t too bad, but Florence is in the boon docks. Is Florence going to blow up in the next few years? Florence population in 1990 was 7,500, now it is 27k.

It looks like real estate is a pretty good investment. Now that I’ve decided to spend some more time traveling, I’m going to put a lot more effort into finding a small apartment building.
