It’s interesting what people fixate on. My friend wanted to see how many tickets we could win at Dave & Busters with $50. We came back with 4500 tickets, which got us 2 entrees. Huge win. Those entrees normally cost $35. It made me wonder how I could game the system and make a profit. I found some guy on Reddit that was obsessed with D&Bs. Any time a new game came out, he gave a scholar level analysis. He uploaded a video of himself playing the game where you have to throw balls to knock down clowns. He didn’t miss a shot. Guy has probably spent years studying D&Bs. Imagine if he spent that time working on science. He would win the Nobel prize.
My March Madness just ended. Not basketball. NCAA wrestling. I love when they interview the NCAA champs right after they win. The best post match interview this year was Vito Arujau. There were a lot of questionable calls in his finals match, but he still pulled out the win. He said, “It felt like I wasn’t supposed to win that. They were really trying not to let me win that. And I really didn’t care. I wanted to win it. So I did.” Legendary.
