Happy Easter! I saw the new Liam Neeson movie yesterday. It was pretty decent. Taken is the OG Liam Neeson movie, but my favorite is The Grey. In the movie, Liam Neesonโs job is to shoot wolves that get too close to an Alaskan oil rig. The wolves are vicious, and attack the oil rig workers. After the job is done, Neeson and the workers get on a plane to go home. The plane crashes, and the group is stranded in the Alaskan wilderness. At the end of the movie, only Liam Neeson is left. He accidentally walks into the wolvesโ den. Death is certain. Does he lay down to die? Of course not. Heโs Liam Neeson. He tapes shards of a broken beer bottle to his hands and goes to war. I think about the message often. In the face of certain death, do you fight? Or do you lay down and die?
Letโs get to it:

When I bought my first duplex, I Googled a bunch of articles about how to evaluate a rental property. Sometimes I thought the articles were way too aggressive on the expense calculations. I donโt think that anymore. Repairs and maintenance are a killer. My properties are pretty new, and stuff still breaks all the time. I just had to replace ACs and a heater, and it cost $10k.

I met this girl whose dad was some sort of plumber or handyman. He would find the most jacked up looking houses in San Diego, and convince the owners to sell to him. He fixed the places up and held onto the them. One at a time. Now he lives on the beach, and owns 10 multi million dollar houses free and clear.

This move apparently got the family a $690k discount on the house. The joke may be on them though. They tried to pay the squatter $140k, but now heโs not accepting that. And he still wonโt leave. So they have to go to court to get him evicted.
